Schools running a laptop or Chromebook fleet need more than a row of power adapters. A charging solution that works in practice has to combine five things in one system: charging, organised storage, security, mobility and electrical load management.

The LVSUN M-C16S is a 16-port USB-C charging cart built for computer labs and other managed laptop environments. With up to 1000 W of total charging power, it lets a school charge, store and move sixteen devices as a single unit rather than as sixteen separate problems.

Centralised USB-C charging

Every bay charges over USB-C Power Delivery. The cart outputs DC 5 V, 9 V, 12 V, 15 V/3 A and 20 V/5 A and supports PD 3.0 and QC 4+, so a compatible laptop can draw up to 100 W. Input is AC 100–240 V, 12 A, 50/60 Hz, and a 5-metre IEC power cord is included.

The 1000 W figure is the cart’s total budget, not a per-port rating: sixteen devices each drawing a full 20 V/5 A would ask for more than the cart supplies. Size a deployment against the 1000 W total and the real draw of the laptops you actually use.

An integrated power sequencer staggers the start of charging across the bays. Bringing a full cart online therefore does not present the electrical installation with a single large inrush, which is what trips a breaker in a classroom that was never wired for sixteen simultaneous chargers.

Electrical safety

The electrical system carries a residual-current circuit breaker, an internal surge protector and a charging timer. The cart is built to the EN 62368 electrical safety standard and is rated for operation from 5 °C to 45 °C at up to 80% relative humidity.

Secure storage and easy mobility

Two independent compartments separate the devices from the electronics — a front storage area for the laptops, and a rear technical area behind its own door. Inside the storage area:

  • Fifteen drawers for student laptops, each with a mouse compartment
  • A projector stand
  • Cable routing and storage arranged so leads stay tidy between sessions

A key lock secures the cart against theft while it is parked or moved between classrooms. The structure is reinforced metal, and a retention system holds the integrated equipment in place during transport. Four professional casters — two of them braked — together with an operating handle make the cart easy to move across uneven floors.

A ventilation system cools the cart while it is closed and the laptops are charging, so devices are not left to heat each other in a sealed cabinet. The cart measures 1150 × 700 × 930 mm and is finished in black.

Network and classroom infrastructure

The cart can carry classroom network equipment as well as charge devices. A Wi-Fi access point mounts inside the rear panels, an RJ45 port is presented on the facade, and a 5-metre Cat 6 UTP cable is supplied. Dual on/off switches, each with an indicator light, control the Wi-Fi access point and laptop charging independently — so the access point can stay up overnight while charging runs on its own timer.
